Fun Weekend
The Last Fun Weekend was held 12-13 June 2010 at Low Farm, Easton Maudit, Wellingborough, Norththants NN29 7NR

Each year during the summer, we have a Fun Weekend or a Fun Day, with lots of things for you to take
part in with your Sussex. We often have a packed schedule including grooming demos, advice on
trimming your Sussex, Ringcraft etc.
There are Fun Events, like egg and spoon race, or Waggiest tail to have a go at. You can get advice on Gun dog training. There is usually a Barbecue with food & drinks throughout the day. Dependent on the location there are camping facilities and places to walk your dog.
Here is an opportunity to make new friends and join in the Fun, or you can relax and simply watch. As you can see from the photo above, everyone is chatting and enjoying themselves - your Sussex Spaniel will love it too! Some of you have said that you never see a Sussex where you live; these events are especially for you!
Game & Country Fairs
Thanks to the help and support of Countryman Fairs and British Heritage Dog Breeds,
We saw the largest ever social gathering of Sussex Spaniels and their pals over two days
at the Sussex Country Fair. There was a grand parade of Seventy Three Sussex Spaniels on the Sunday

Most Country Fairs and The Game Fairs now set aside a large tented area at their Fairs for Gundogs to be seen by the General
Public. They also schedule parades of the breeds in their Main Ring. These are places where you can meet and see the
different gundogs, including the Sussex Spaniel. Every year, we have a loyal band of members who go along with their Sussex
Spaniels to represent the Breed — why not go along with your Sussex and join them for either a chat or just to watch and
maybe participate in the Parades.
