Regrettably we have temporarily closed the puppy register due to lack of puppies during the ongoing pandemic and the large increase in new enquiries.

DEFRA has the following advice if you are thinking of purchasing a puppy:
Pushing up the price of puppies is only leading to their theft and will eventually bring tighter restrictions to hobby breeders. Puppies should be priced at a sensible level and not £1,000's and should be bred to benefit the breed and not for profit.
In line with this, the Sussex Spaniel Association recommends that the current price of Sussex Spaniel puppies should be £900-£1200. This recommendation will be reviewed as appropriate

For those planning a litter, in order to go on the Puppy Register to receive enquiries, you must have been an SSA member for over 2 years and agree to abide by the SSA Code of Ethics

Sussex Spaniel Stud Dog List

As we do not have a large gene pool we invite members to contact us if they would like their Sussex Spaniel dog used at stud.
We will need to have the pedigree name of your dog, your phone number and location
For breeders or potential breeders, we presently have a List of stud dogs which is available by email.

The SSA Health Sub-Committee strongly recommends that breeders planning to breed should ensure that their dogs and bitches are hip-scored under the Kennel Club/British Veterinary Association Hip-scoring Scheme before proceeding.
